Some information about Acid Ray
Acid Ray was conceived as a simple and effective way of distributing music, in time we will expand with more interesting releases and MP'3s to download, archive material, new Bassman and Spacejunk Cowboy material as well as new artists. We need your support, we can press what we want when we want, check out the details of future releases and give us some feedback.
In the pipeline...
The first planned Acid Ray release is the long awaited debut solo album from Pete Bassman titled The Electrik Soundz of Bassman. Ten tracks of outstanding electronic dreamscapes, an album that fills the gap between the end of Alphastone and Bassman's current musical ventures. Our next project:

Darkdaze, The Story of The Darkside. This collection is being put together to satisfy the interest in a band that has remained in obscurity ever since Beggars Banquet consigned the group to the darkest place in the Beggars vaults. Every demo, outtake, rehearsal and live recording that is worthy of inclusion will be remastered and compiled into the largest collection of Darkside music, which pop pickers means that it will be the definitive collection.
All the material has never been released on Beggars Banquet, early demo sessions and unheard material present an alternative history of a troubled band.
The BOMP! Sessions. Compilation of this collection was well underway at the time of the sad news of Greg Shaw’s death. It was intended to contact Greg about this collection, with the hope he would give it his support and enjoy listening to the alternative takes and unreleased material made during this period. It was Greg that really gave Alphastone a boost, we hope our Bomp! sessions is a fitting tribute.
This time round we have the benefits of digital editing to make improvements to the material, alternate mixes and previous unreleased material will also be included with remastered material from the Alphastone back catalogue, also a comprehensive booklet will accompany the package.
